Volunteers needed – Madeira Criterium Bike Race — June 26

The Madeira Criterium is Sunday, June 26.

The success of the bike race depends heavily on volunteers. This is the 7th annual event that draws thousands of people to our little town each year. This is the 3rd leg of what is called the Ohio Triple Weekend where the professional riders and some of the amateurs are participating in three races starting on Friday. If you have never attended, it is quite exciting. I can vouch that it is a fun time before, during and after the races. There are races for all ages and skills so it is quite interesting.

Each year Troop 209 and their families are asked to volunteer their time to help with the race. None of the jobs are technical or even difficult. We have many slots to fill across the entire day. Each volunteer will get a very nice dry-fit type t-shirt.

Jobs – Crossing Guard, 5th/3rd Parking Lot attendant (boys and adults) and floaters.

Times – 9am-12pm, 12pm to 3pm, 3pm to 6pm and 6pm to 9pm

Please e-mail Fitz back if you can help with what job and time slot(s) you will be able to fill. Would be a good time to spend with your son giving back to the community.
