Med forms due – Tomorrow June 13

Instructions for EVERYONE (including Thunderbirds) All registered Scouts and Adults need to turn in a refreshed Medical Form, Parts A+B1+B2, which includes a copy of your insurance card (front and back).
Instructions for Summer Camp attendees In addition to the items under “Everyone”, all Scouts attending Summer Camp and any Adults spending the night at Summer Camp will need to have Part C completed and signed by a doctor. Please note the due date below and schedule your appointment to turn in your form before the deadline. Many pediatricians will allow you to drop off the form if they have seen your child recently.
Medical Forms Due Date June 13th.   You can turn in your updated medical form at any regular Tuesday meeting.
Med forms for non-Troop activities
If your Scout will be participating in any Scouting events individually (NYLT, OA, Camp staff, 2nd week at summer camp, etc) it is recommended that you make a second copy of their med form to use for these events. The Troop can’t “loan out” the completed medical forms, as the forms have a tendency to get lost or forgotten.  The Troop needs to maintain these for all troop activities and campouts.

Election night

This is a reminder that tonight MPSC is being used as a voting location. Scouts please enter through the front doors tonight to avoid walking through the polling location in the fellowship hall.

Reminder: Bring Peterloon gear tonight @ 5:15p

Thursday 9/29, 5:15pm, MSPC:  We will be taking the trailer out to camp on Thursday to ease the logistics for arriving on Friday evening. There will be a large number of scouts arriving at Peterloon on Friday night, with lots of activity; so Council allows troops to start setting-up their camps on Thursday evening. Setting-up camp ahead of time will allow our Scouts and AOLs to settle in Friday night and not be fighting the other troops/scouts/buses/daylight once we arrive.  So what that means:

a.  I would encourage all scouts/adults attending to get your personal gear to the trailer on Thursday, so you don’t have to manage carrying that heavy load onto the transport buses.  Whatever you don’t get into your primary bag on Thursday, can be put into a backpack/daypack and/or carried with you on Friday.
b.  I’ll need 1-2 additional adults and 3-4 older scouts to pack the trailer with the troop gear we’ll need (plus personal gear); then to go with me out to Cub World on Thursday.  At a minimum, we would like to get the garage and kitchen area set-up, as well as potentially get the tents set-up in the proper locations.   Please let me know if you can help out Thursday night!
