We will be camping March 13-15, sleeping in heated yurts. We will meet at 4:30 at MSPC on Friday afternoon to gather gear and pack up the trailer. Since we are traveling as the troop, Class A uniforms are required for travel Friday night and Sunday morning. Bring a brown bag dinner for the ride to the campsite. This campout will be an important one for our new Crossover Scouts to attend. We’ll be covering the bulk of the Scout rank, as well as earning their Totin’ Chip & Firem’n Chit, as time permits. ‘Patrol Wars’ will likely be the main activity; there are also hiking trails on-site Lastly, we will arrive back to MSPC ~9:30am Sunday. We will need to unload the trailer and assign gear for cleaning which takes ~30 minutes.
New Parent Orientation (Tues 2/24/26)
AOL Parents: Please plan to stay for the regular Scout meeting on this Tuesday, we’ll start 7:15ish. Similar to the Open House discussion last fall; however, Mr. Torborg be going over a lot of action items and to-do’s, parent roles, etc. and allow time for any questions you (or your Scout) may have.
AOL Crossover Ceremony (Sun 2/22/26)
Scouts will meet at 12:30pm on Sunday at the church, in Class-A Uniform. We’ll
pack up the fire pit, tiki torches, flags, etc, then head out as a troop to Camp Friedlander to get set up. The actual ceremony is 2:00-3:00; aim to be back to the church around 3:30ish. All scouts are encouraged to attend so we can welcome our new Scouts to the troop, and you get S’mores!
Summer Camp 2026!
It’s time to be thinking about Summer Camp. This year’s Summer Camp is July 5-11 at Camp Friedlander. Please find attached the sign-up form/payment vouchers. Our goal is to have everyone attend Summer Camp to join in the awesomeness!
The first payment is due Feb 17, 2026. We’ll be picking merit badges in a future meeting.
2026 February Ski Trip!
The Troop is excited to do a one-night winter camping experience, paired with a day of skiing. The troop will meet at the Church at 9:30am on Saturday, February 14th to travel to the campground. After setting up camp and eating lunch, we’ll travel a short distance to Perfect North to ski in the afternoon. The guys will bring a packed lunch for Saturday; and we plan to eat pizza at Perfect North for dinner. After skiing, we’ll travel back to camp overnight. Returning on Sunday to the Church for a 10:00am pick-up. Scouts should be prepared for the cold! Appropriate ski wear and personal camping gear will be required. A warm sleeping bag, extra blankets and one or two sleeping pads will be helpful.

January 2026 Court of Honor
This year’s Winter Court of Honor will be Tuesday, January 27th! This event will be in the sanctuary at MSPC at 7:00 with refreshments immediately following, so be sure to come support and celebrate each other’s achievements!
