Ski day at Prefect North

Greetings all,

The Troop’s January activity will be a day trip to Perfect North for some skiing and tubing. The fee includes skiing, tubing, equipment rental, and a group lesson. So even if you have never skied before, this a good time to give it a try. Food is not included so Scouts should bring their own brown bag lunch. They may also bring money for snacks.
Please arrive at the Church by 7:45 am for a 8 am departure.
We will leave Perfect North ~3pm to return to the church around 4pm
Attached are the troop permission slip, Perfect North waiver and, equipment rental. All 3 are due by our Troop meeting on 1/16.

Light up Maderia
Is a Troop service project where we serve hot chocolate and tend a fire at the Light up Madeira festivities. It’s an excellent way for us to give back to the city that supports us so well. We have multiple shifts.

12-2: Meet at BBQ depot
2-4: Meet at BBQ depot
4-6:30: Meet at BBQ depot, pick up at MSPC. Helps with take down
If your Scout is unable to attend climbing or doesn’t want to then the 9-12 and 12-2 shifts would be ideal. Parents are welcome to help as well.
Please email Mr Z to sign up for a shift or at a Troop Meeting.

August Camp Out

For the August Camp out, we need to get a solid number attending (boys & adults) in order to make a reservation. There is a minimum number needed to get their discounted rate. The sooner we make our reservation, the better chance of securing spots at Camp Kern. We want to get this taken care of BEFORE summer camp to hopefully ensure success.

Camping is at Morgan’s Canoe in Ft. Ancient
Activities will be at Camp Kern (Tango Tower and Mine Shaft)
Attached are the TWO forms that need to be returned no later than Tuesday July 5. If for some reason you/your son are unable to be at the next two Troop meetings but want to go on the August campout, please let Fitz know via e-mail
